Barnsdale Country Club is situated on the shore of beautiful Rutland Water, about 3 miles from the county town of Oakham. East Midlands airport is 45 miles, and Birmingham airport 65 miles. Barnsdale has for many years maintained its RCI Gold Crown status; the resort is attractively landscaped, and has excellent views over the water. Onsite facilities include a 22m swimming pool with sauna, steam room and jacuzzi, a gym, tennis and squash courts, mini golf and childrens play area; there is a bar and restaurant. Nearby there are facilities for sailing, canoeing and for hiring bicycles (there is a cycle track all the way round Rutland Water).

The timeshare is a fixed week in April, but may be exchanged for other weeks in other resorts. It is a first-floor apartment with two bedrooms (sleeps 5), bathroom, living room and kitchen; one bedroom has twin beds, the other has a double bed, plus a single bed. There is ample car parking at the resort.

During the 10 years I have owned the timeshare, I have enjoyed exchange holidays in Spain, Scotland and Wales.
