Club Los Molinos is in a really nice and peaceful location. The Club has 31 apartments within a 260 unit complex (most apartments in the complex seem to be privately owned) and is part of Club Access To Leisure (A2L) which also includes three resorts in Malta. A2L also has its own exchange system allowing club members access to any of more than 2,000 resorts worldwide. The reception area has a lounge to relax in with free WiFi. The nearest beach is about 300 metres away. The Aqua Park is about ¾ mile/1.2 km away.

There is a pub and cafe on site and enough café/restaurant/bars just outside the complex. For a livelier time you can take a 10/15 minute stroll to the main resort where there are many more bars, shops, as well as more beaches.

As well as the overall volcanic splendour of the island one of the nice things about Lanzarote for us is the lack of big hotels; apparently there are strict building laws to ensure they are no more than three stories high. You can see the influence of the artist César Manrique everywhere. He was a painter, sculptor, architec, who felt that he had to transform the island before the influence of tourism spoilt it forever. He worked on some of the famous landmarks to improve them for the benefit of everyone.

We've hired a car in the past (from a local agent, rather cheaply we thought) and drove all over the island. We found it real easy to get around.

We enjoyed some lovely weeks at Club Los Molinos but also used the timeshare system to exchange to places as near as Tenerife and as far as Las Vegas.

We are life-long campers too and have decided to upgrade from a trailer tent to a caravan. So for the foreseeable future we will be driving to all our holiday destinations - hence the reluctant, and slightly sad, decision to sell our timeshare.
