The hotel is located ten miles (16 Km) approximately from Cancun international airport. Royal Sunset is located on the ocean side within the centre of the hotel zone. With a RCI gold award -The studio capacity is for four persons comprising of bathroom with tub/shower. Balcony or terrace facing the lagoon or ocean. The room have cable TV, a telephone, air con ,ceiling fan, safe, wireless internet. Kitchenette with all utensils, microwave; ironing board and iron. Access to all floors is via two lifts. The hotel has five restaurants which serve international buffet and one A la carte Italian cuisine. There is the Grill bar for snacks, lobby bar for local beers and spirits, plus pool bar and also room service.

The studio is available all year with the exception of Spring break, Holy week, Christmas and New Year on the Gold plan. This resort has its own exchange system or you can use RCI to different location.

There is private beach access, swimming pool & Jacuzzi, fitness centre, spa with steam and sauna room. The poolside and in pool activities include, aqua aerobics, water basketball, volleyball, cookery and cocktail lessons. The resort host Spanish language lessons, also nightly themed parties on the beach or at the Moonlight Theatre. There is a small shop on-site and hotel transport to other hotels within the group can also be used. Water sport include snorkelling, scuba diving and Kayaking. Its only a ten minute walk to the centre of resort for night clubs.

Places of interest include, Isla mujeres, which is twenty minutes by ferry. Bacalar (Laguna de los) Lake of seven colours and Chechen Ikza Mayan archaeological site approximately 2 hours by car.
