This apartment is in one of the most prestigeous hotels and locations in Madeira, and just twenty minutes from Funchal Airport. The panoramic views from this corner unit apartment are spectacular, sea facing with patio sliding windows across the whole unit and balconies. It accommodates four people and has two full bathrooms a lounge and a kitchen.

It is a fifteen minute walk through beautiful gardens into the town of Funchal.  Surrounding the hotel and within a few minutes walk there is an abundance of restaurants to suite everyones taste and pocket.  Of course if you really want to push the boat out you could dine in the infamous Reids Hotel, expensive but really well worth it for a special occasion.

The hotel itself boast an indoor swimming pool, two outdoor swimming pools, a gymnasium/spa and their own fine dining experience with two restaurants, a super poolside eaterie, and what is affectionately called The Pub for those  who just want to relax  and enjoy a light bar meal, nothing too formal!

Although this apartment is week 28 you may change it to any week that suits for a small fee of €70. Lots of things to do, especially for children, boat trips, especially the Santa Maria Pirate Ship which takes you on a journey to view the sealife - dolphins walruses and your even encouraged to jump overboard to swim in the blue waters of the ocean.

Tennis, miniature golf, lessons in scuba diving, or why not take a hair-raising ride on the tobbogans, notorious in Madeira for approximately 100 years. Maybe a trip up in the cable cars
to view the beauty of this wonderful island with its avocado and banana trees literally growing on the streets and the frangipani trees with their incredible colours.

So much to do in so little a time, the reason for my parting with this unit is due to the sudden passing of my dear husband who absolutely adored the place, so much so that we purchased four weeks altogether but with family and friends we are still using the other three.

These type of units are for discerning people that really enjoy quality holidays for a fraction of the cost.  You may also exchange for other countries if you wish.
