We purchased this Marriott Gold timeshare new in 2006, in the highly desirable Harbour Lake resort. It was also recently refurbished in 2010. Based in Orlando, Florida, just off International Drive, it is very central to all the main attractions. The week is in December and is 'gold' level this gives you the ultimate flexibility that you can take your holiday at any time of the year. It also means the standard of accommodation when you exchange is extremely high.

Only 12 miles from Orlando international airport, is close to Seaworld, Wet and Wild, Universal Studios and all the Disney resorts, and all the best water parks are on the doorstep too. On our first trip we did not hire a vehicle and managed to get around quite successfully, as the resort is very central, with great transport links, although renting a car is useful if you want to go to the coast or Kennedy space centre.

The resort has lots to do with a couple of fantastic pools for the kids, onsite bar, Starbucks coffee, takeaway, mini golf, pool tables, basketball, table tennis, BBQ area, DVD rental, Massage Spa and Gym, Additional on-site services include babysitting , complimentary WiFi, ATM, laundry, lifts and secure parking. Shops and restaurants are also nearby.
There are too many great restaurants to mention, all within a short drive and eating out is so easy and inexpensive. There are a number of eating places within the complex including a patio bar and grill which serves food all day and also a café adjacent to the sports area. The local supermarket is only a few minutes' drive from the resort, if you want to stock up the fridge.

The apartment we own, is finished to a high standard and has 2 large bedrooms, a family bathroom and en-suite. It has a generous lounge and kitchen/dining area and TV's in both bedrooms, plus the huge TV and DVD player in the lounge.
We also enrolled into Interval international which has provided us with the opportunity to exchange our week for holidays closer to home in different places including Disneyland Paris, Norway and the Canaries.

Reluctant sale, but the kids are growing up and want to do their own thing, but we have had some amazing holidays and you should too!
