After moving back to the United Kingdom from the United Arab Emirates after the passing of my farther, my mother wanted to purchase not only a holiday destination close to all the family but also an investment to pass to my sister and I at the right time.

After much searching, it was an easy decision to purchase a week (in 1992 week 33) at the height of summer season at Elmers Court Country Club.

While the ground floor chalet is within five minutes walk of every amenity including indoor and outdoor facilities (pools and much more), country mansion etc, my wonderful mother thought mostly of the beautiful view through sliding lounge doors that is the veranda meeting landscaped grass sloping away across an approx 150m square piece of cut grassland with a nine hole putting course. The grass finishes at the waters edge of the Lymington River (a beautiful sight at any time of year). This area of grass is flanked on the left by apple trees and the right by 15ft fashioned hedgerows the other side of which are tennis courts and adventure area.

After an annual holiday for the last 22 years, I have great memories of happy times at Elmers Court with my children growing up from the ages of three and one that are full of games, family, adventure, swimming and much much more. It has also become an annual pilgrimage for so many family members and friends.

In 1999, Mum invested in a second week (34) in the same chalet making it a two week holiday in glorious sunshine where you can have as much fun or peace and quite as you wish.

Mum's health has lead to considering sale and the family support her decision to ensure any return is enjoyed by Mum alone.
