We first became owners at Orange Lake Resort in 2003 when we purchased a week in the West Village (week 45). We loved spending our family holidays in Florida & also going to other US states & other countries by exchanging with RCI.

We soon realised owning at Orange Lake gave us flexibility, high standard of accommodation (highly rated Gold Crown) when we wished to exchange through RCI. We then purchased our second week in 2007 in the East Village (week 38). The weeks are not consecutive, with Holiday Inn this does not matter. With Orange Lake growing for the better, this has meant more flexibility for owners. Our owned weeks are for two bedroom, two bathroom, full kitchen with balcony sleeps 8/ privacy 6 with laundry facilities in the apartment .

With the Holiday Inn points system we can stay in a one bedroom if we wish or if we save points over we can go for a three bedroom. If we use less points for a one bedroom this will allows us to stay longer or even split the time up & have shorter but more holidays in the year. We have very rarely stayed in our own apartments, as most of the time we go when we want to & are able to with work commitments, this has made the holiday very flexible & accessible.

You do not need to exchange with RCI if you wish to stay within the holiday inn family or in the same resort but different times. This is all organised through Holiday Inn vacations & you can do this on line. Holiday Inn vacations is expanding all the time with resorts in South Carolina, Tennessee, Vermont, Wisconsin, Panama City Florida & Las Vegas.

We found our resort had enough to keep us occupied. Many pools & hot tubs, River Island, Splash Lagoon, lake with watersport rentals, fitness rooms, pool basket ball & volley ball, basket ball courts, tennis courts, many golf activities including variety of courses, putt putt, miniature golf course, Wi-Fi internet access, Hippo inflatable waterslide, planned activities scheduled out if you wish to join in including nature walks, water aerobics.

There is plenty of choice of food including pizzeria, River Island Grilling, cafe, Legacy Grill & Breezes restaurant.On site grocery store & just off site there are grocery stores & many different restaurants within very easy access. A free resort shuttle runs around the resort if you do not wish to use your car or the walk back after swimming in the many different pools is just a little too far.

Disney is just a stones throw away from the resort & we have stayed in a variety of apartments on site where we have sat on our balcony with a glass of wine & watched the various Disney firework displays.

We loved sitting on our balcony & watching the golfers with a coffee or watching the storms as it passes by. If your concerned with parking then no need to worry loads of parking & security on site.
