Maderia is an island of volcanic origin sited in the Atlantic Ocean some 350 miles west of Africa, is under Portugese control with the Euro as its currency. The airport serves many European Countries and is expanding regularly.

Funchal is the capital of Maderia, was once a busy fishing town, but is now a world class city considered to be one of the safety and cleanest in Europe with a delightful mix of old world charm and modern elegance. There are a number of beaches in and around Funchal but they are either pebbly or black volcanic sand, but white sandy beaches can be found in Machico or Calheta. The port is regularly visited by cruise ships.

This apartment is extra large on the third (top) floor having two double bedrooms, two bathrooms (one en-suite), a kitchen with all facilities , a very large living room with two settee's (one a modern bed settee), two are stairs a dinning table with six chairs. There are two balconies, one off the main bedroom the other the other a double size off the living room having sun loungers and a table and chairs. The balconies overlook the very attractive gardens, the whole of Funchal and its surrounding villages as well as the harbour. There are telephones and televisions in the living room and main bedroom. DVE are available to rent. There is a daily maid service. The time share expires at the end of 2026.

The Pastana Village and Mirama are linked and share their facilities which provides two large outdoor swimming pools and one indoor pool with Jacuzzi, a gym offering spa treatments, sauna and Jacuzzi, a hairdressers, games room with pool tables dart board etc, table tennis room, childrens play room, two libraries and Wi Fi facilities. Light entertainment is provided on some evenings. Car parking is available by arrangement.

The hotels provide four restaurants from buffet style to fine dinning and al fresco dinning and several bars. As with much of Maderia this is a slopping site, but there are lifts to all areas including the apartment level.

There are many site seeing or activity excursions to be found on Maderia - Dolphin and whale watching, deep see fishing, special garden visits, many different levada walks to suite all abilities, the Volcanism centre at Sao Vincente ( these Volcanic caves are very different to the lime stone type, handycraft centres, vineyards, golf, cable cars to Monte and them across to the Botanical gardens and other general site seeing tours. Funchal offers theatres, cinemas, markets and many seasonal shows. There is a casino that has dinner shows. There is shopping galore.

Pestana is a multi national company who have five other time share resorts in Funchal all in close proximity which you will be to visit. They run there own loyalty club which enables you to exchange your time share not only to toher weeks in this complex but to any of their other places abroad including other companies that have joined the scheme. You can also arrange to use your time two years in advance or arrears.
