This week heralds the change to the Lake District scenery more dramatically than any other week bringing in the breath taking shades of brown and gold - it really is a spectacle not to be missed. On this particular week the Lake District quietens down with families returning home which means there is not as much traffic or people milling around if you're looking to have a quiet restful holiday break.

The weather is also very good throughout this week with the occasional rainy spells on the odd day so it won't prevent you from getting out and about. So if you're looking to have a quiet restful break to re-charge the batteries before the rush into Christmas - this is the perfect week to have that well earned rest.
