The studio is situated within the 5*Pestana Carlton Hotel which has achieved a Certificate of Excellence in the 2013 Trip Advisor Awards.  The hotel enjoys a privileged setting in Funchal at the top of a slope on the island of Madeira, providing fantastic views of the bay of Funchal and the sea. It is a 20 minute drive from the airport and a 15 minute walk into the city centre through the lovely gardens situated on the hillside.

Funchal has a number of attractions including a cable car up to Monte Palace and gardens, together with a variety of shopping.  Madeira is a lovely island and walking along the levadas is a must for those who want to see it at its best but for those less energetic there are plenty of island tours available to make the most of the spectacular scenery.   There are a wide range of services available including a heated salt-water outdoor pool together with a further salt-water pool with access to the sea and an indoor pool with Jacuzzi and bar. In addition there is also the Magic Spa which enjoys an indoor pool, sauna, Turkish bath, jacuzzi, gym and treatment rooms.

For your dining experience there are 3 restaurants and 3 bars with a variety of cuisine including snacks and light meals as well. Locally there is also a variety of excellent restaurants available within walking distance of the hotel together with many more within Funchal City Centre itself.  Just down from the hotel is the Madeira Casino which provides daily entertainment, together with dinner and shows.

The studio consists of a living room/bedroom, bathroom with over-bath shower, kitchenette, air conditioning and balcony and, as it is on the 7th floor, it has the benefit of fantastic views over the outdoor pool area and sea. Just sit in bed in the mornings looking out to sea and watch the cruise ships glide into port.

It is available for a fixed week no 13, which often falling within the Easter holidays.  If converting to RCI points the studio attracts 56,500 points annually.
