Resort Information

Sunbeach Holiday Club is located in the resort of Ialyssos, situated right on the beach and looking out to sea and the coast of Turkey. This has to be the perfect location - with a balcony view across the club pool to the beach and beyond to the coast of Turkey, and conveniently just 15 minutes by bus or taxi to Rhodes Town and with transfer from the airport less than 15 minutes. Ialyssos is an excellent resort with a long beach with shallow water for safe swimming and perfect windsurfing conditions. The resort benefits from a superb range of restaurants and traditional taverna and a very good selection of quality shops and strolling the streets is a very pleasant experience.

Affiliation - Sunbeach is affiliated to the exchange company RCI and holds Silver Crown Status and so exchange to other parts of the world is a distinct benefit.

On-site Facilities - Include three pools with the club pool exclusive to members, with three restaurants, three poolside snack bars, a beach bar and daily Club Poolside BBQ. Other facilities include a gym, sauna, jacuzzi, tennis courts, and crazy golf, car hire with on-site parking and also an excursion booking office.
There is a 24 hour reception and the club office is open daily for advice and a book exchange service. There is a very good entertainment program which always includes a traditional Greek Night with food and dance show.

Sightseeing

Rhodes Town is always worth more than one visit, the old walled town has so many historic buildings, the narrow streets and alley-ways are a delight to explore and the shopping experience is unique. Mandraki Harbour, (site of the "Colossus of Rhodes") is a wonderful place to sit and watch the world go by, or take a boat trip to the beautiful nearby island of Symi. Boats also leave here for Lindos if a coastal trip is preferred to a visit by coach, and Lindos has to be a must visit for every visitor to the island of Rhodes, impressive narrow streets topped by the acropolis, and wonderful atmosphere of Greek life.

The Island. Ialyssos is on the west coast which is very green, quiet and peaceful with lovely villages to explore, and across the island the east coast has miles of lovely sandy beaches, and with an interior of accessible mountain villages car hire should always be considered.
Close by is the ancient ruined city of Kameiros, and well worth a visit is Butterfly Valley.

The Time-share

Our time-share is the two fixed weeks 36 & 37 which are the 2nd and 3rd weeks of September, a perfect time to visit Rhodes when the temperatures are comfortably hot and sunny and just outside of the main holiday season making flights more reasonably priced.
The unit benefits from a large double bedroom, a roomy lounge both with access to the large balcony which overlooks the sea and perfect for alfresco dining. The unit comfortably accommodates a maximum of four persons with innovative single beds in the lounge area without any upheaval.

The units were completely refurbished recently with high quality furniture and soft furnishings, fully equipped kitchen with dining area. The fully tiled bathroom is luxurious with bath, shower and hair-dryer and comes with complimentary shower and bathing toiletries. The controllable air conditioning system keeps you comfortable and there is a lift additional to the stairs. The very impressive daily maid service looks after all of your needs in respect of fresh towels replacement, including pool towels, bed linen change and keeping your apartment spotlessly clean.

We have owned at Sunbeach for 12 years and have taken our holiday there on four occasions, and have never been disappointed. We have exchanged to other resorts in Europe mainly to other Greek Islands, to the Canary Islands, mainland Spain, to Madeira as well as to Scotland.

Our holiday needs have changed as we have got older, we want to explore remote corners of Europe including Scottish Islands, and Arctic Scandinavia hence our decision to sell. We have enjoyed immensely our holidays through our time-share and would happily do it all over again with no regrets whatsoever.
