Kilconquhar Castle Estate is a long-standing RCI Gold Crown resort providing Scottish, family holiday holidays in the East Neuk of Fife, 5 minutes drive from the sandy beaches of Elie. If you are travelling by air the resort is just over 40 miles from Edinburgh airport and so this also makes it well situated for day trips to Edinburgh and it's many tourist attractions.

Golfers will be delighted that it is situated approximately 10 miles from St Andrews and can enjoy a large choice of courses within a 20 minute drive. Nearby, the attractive, old fishing villages of Pittenweem, Elie, Crail, and Anstruther are all well worth visiting when venturing out beyond the resort.

There is no shortage of activities whatever the weather at Kilconquhar! There is a leisure centre with an indoor swimming pool along with a fully equipped gym, a sauna and pampering aromatherapy treatments!

Children of all ages are very catered for and this really makes for great family holidays. There is even a teenagers lounge area and during school holidays a leisure team are on hand with lots of organized activities ranging from team games to arts and crafts...there not necessarily just for the kids!

The onsite Bistro is open throughout the week and serves up a mouth-watering menu of Scottish foods. On Wednesday evenings, the 16th Century, oak panelled Lindsay Room in the castle offers a 3 course Scottish menu, the inglenook fireplace and ornate ceilings adding to the ambience of this dining experience.

VILLA DETAILS
The villa has three bedrooms, two doubles and a twin, all with en-suite bath or shower facilities. There is a separate Jacuzzi room, which also houses a washing machine, although the resort has laundry facilities. The open plan kitchen/dining area is well equipped with a dishwasher, refrigerator, freezer, microwave, electric hob and oven. The lounge adjoining the dining area is well equipped with a TV set and DVD player, two sofas (one of which converts into a bed for an additional 2 people), two easy chairs and three occasional tables and table lamps. The lounge is at the rear of the villa and has sliding doors out to a patio and an open aspect across fields to the nearby village of Kilconquhar. There is ample parking space at the front of the house.

Should you fancy a change there is a world of exchanges available through membership with RCI and Interval International.

We have celebrated Christmas in this villa for the last 25 years, with only occasional exchanges to other resorts (Cameron House, beside Loch Lomond and the Anfi Beach Club, in Gran Canaria). To our family, Christmas means "Kilconquhar" from 23-30 December every year. As the family have grown we have needed extra space and appreciated the facility of renting extra units, or rooms in the castle for guests. We have also exchanged within the resort for Spring and Summer holidays.
