El Marquese is a Gold Crown Resort situated in Los Gigantes.  The complex has a swimming pool, restaurant and snack bar, and there are activities for children and some sporting opportunities.

Situated on the 2nd floor the Apartment has a terrace with sun loungers, table and parasol overlooking the swimming pool and sea view to La Gomera and Los Gigantes and has a lift adjacent to the apartment.

The apartment was refurbished about 3 years ago and consists of 2 bedrooms - 1 double with en-suite and 1 twin with separate bathroom.

The kitchen is a full kitchen with oven, hob, washing machine, crockery, cutlery for 6 people, kettle, iron, ironing board and all you would need in a kitchen.

The lounge is tastefully furnished with chairs, sofa bed, TV and coffee table.

We have owned this apartment since 1990, and whilst we have never actually stayed in our apartment, we have stayed in one identical to ours and found that it was very comfortable, elegantly furnished with lovely views over the pool, the complex and to the sea and La Gomera beyond.

We have exchanged to places like America, Germany and Portugal in the past, but as we are now getting older, we have health problems and cannot easily travel.

El Marquest is situated between Los Gigantes and Santiago, both within walking distance of the complex.  There is a 'bus stop just outside the complex which gets you to various parts of the island, and the fares were reasonably priced, so there is no problem getting to visit difference places if you do not have a hire car.

There are several very interesting shops, bars and the local eateries serve food to suit all tastes, all local to El Marques.
