About Pearly Grey
This cliff top, coastal resort (seen right in the middle of the coastal photograph above) is situated in the small town of Callao Salvaje, in the south west of Tenerife in the Canary Islands. It is an RCI affiliated resort and is situated just under 30 km from Tenerife South International airport - about half an hour's drive. It is also accessible by bus. Pearly Grey has recently been awarded a "Certificate of Excellence" by the globally famous travel website, "Trip Advisor". Pearly Grey is notable for its family-friendly atmosphere, but is also an ideal place for a week's relaxing visit to the sun for more mature people. There really is something good for everyone here. The apartment itself is a large one situated on the corner of the complex, above the cliffs and offers spectacular, panoramic views across the bay to the neighbouring island of La Gomera, to the west. As such, the view from the apartment unit, particularly at sunset, really is a beautiful sight.

The resort has a heated outside swimming pool (with lifeguard during the day), pool tables, table tennis and air hockey also outside. There's also an Astroturf bowling green and a member of staff who does children's entertainment throughout the day. Several other staff members have vast local knowledge and will easily help you plan any excursions or other matters for you. The unit has an L-Shaped balcony affording wonderful views and also has furniture on the balcony which can be used for taking a leisurely breakfast, for example. There's free Wi-Fi all around the complex for your  laptop, smart phone etc. and cabaret entertainment virtually every night on site with a dedicated compere. A superb, brand new beach has been created in the village, which is roughly three minute's walk from the complex. There are good golf courses fairly close and an excellent go-karting course too. The food at Pearly Grey is of a good standard, reasonably priced and the upper restaurant and bar area is clean and modern. There's a kitchen in your apartment, but if you don't fancy that there is an option for you to go half board if you wish, details available on booking.  The beautifully furnished, recently opened cliff top terrace cocktail bar is a must. Glass panels are all that separate you from the vast, spectacular view across the Atlantic. The sun sets to the southern tip of La Gomera and you can watch it go down, while you enjoy a drink or meal in al fresco luxury.

There's plenty of good, well-priced restaurants too locally and if you want to keep costs down by cooking in the flat, there's a couple of good supermarkets in the village with much larger supermarkets available about ten minutes' drive away. There's also all the other shops and amenities you would expect in a small conurbation and it's not a "touristy" village.  Callao Salvaje is relatively quiet compared to the much busier parts of Tenerife, such as Las Americas, but the busy parts and everything else are within fairly easy reach due to the island's relatively small size. The reception at Pearly Grey will organise tickets for an excursion bus for you, or you can use the local bus which takes longer but is much cheaper. Car hire is also an option for when you get to the airport, if you don't mind driving.  Tenerife is a rugged, volcanic island with a big, dormant volcano called El Teide in the middle. A day trip to the summit in the cable car is also a must, but wrap up warm because it's so high that there's often still snow at the peak in August, despite the coastal area being hot. The views are absolutely amazing. The whole family will love a wildlife centre called Loro Parque, which is on the north coast and is another whole day out. It's a fabulous place and has killer whale, dolphin and sea lion displays which have to be seen to be believed. At Loro Parque, it would be a good idea to buy discounted tickets for Siam Park (or vice versa). This attraction is closer to Pearly Grey and is the best aqua park I've ever been to. The kids will absolutely love it. Again, it's a whole day and the time will fly by.  A little further up the coast from Callao Salvaje is Los Gigantes, where you can take a boat excursion for dolphin and whale watching - plus a lovely swim in a secluded bay - underneath the spectacular, massive cliffs which drop straight down into the sea. There's also diving, jet skis and any other water-related fun you can think of.

Other Information
This sale offers a fixed week, "Week Six", which falls around the middle of February. It is ideal for a winter break to the sun - the average temperature during the day in this week is in the low twenties in centigrade and it is sunny and hot compared to the weather in the UK, for example. The apartment available is a large one, with two bedrooms which each sleep two people, while the spacious living room offers two sofa which can accommodate two more people - so maximum occupancy is six. There is one bathroom with a sink, bidet, toilet and shower/bath. The living room also has a dining table and chairs, plus a well equipped kitchen area complete with cutlery, pots, pans and anything else you might reasonably need to create your meals within the apartment. A TV is also available within the living room, with English channels for selection.

The unit is on the third floor of the complex and there are two elevators available, as well as stairs. Ample car parking is also available opposite the Pearly Grey apartment complex.
