Wyndham Palm-Aire resort is a golf and spa haven located 15 minutes from Fort Lauderdale airport. It has four outdoor swimming pools, children‘s pool, hot tub, tennis and basketball courts, gym, café, spa and three golf courses on site. Within four miles there is a sister resort, Wyndham Royal Vista, located on the beach. You can use all of the facilities here so you have the best of both worlds.

Amenities in the surrounding area include a casino, restaurants, shops including Sawgrass Mills mall and hire a boat and cruise along the inner coastal waterways where you can see prestigious homes and wildlife.

Keeping the kids entertained (on-site) is no problem here with the entertainment and activity programme provided by the resort, the choice of pools, a playground and the opportunity to hone their golf skills on the mini-golf course.

During my last stay we were in a lovely two-bed roomed apartment with full kitchen and utility facilities (though there is a laundry service within the resort too), a main bathroom and en-suite attached to the main bedroom. The spacious lounge opened out onto a private balcony which overlooked one of the golf courses and was large and sunny enough to have breakfast on.

One of the benefits of this time share is the option to swap your points to go to other destinations and Wyndham resorts or exchange them through RCI as I did last year (2012). I exchanged my points to go on a Mediterranean cruise on an NCL cruise liner (the Epic) visiting Italy, France, Monaco and Spain on the one week cruise, enjoying the sights from our balconied cabin on board.
