Our apartment is based at the superb Hollywood Mirage complex on the hillside above the charming seaside resort of Los Christianos on the south side of Tenerife. There is a direct motorway from the local airport which takes about 30 minutes by car. The week we are selling is week 6 - generally the second week of February when the average temperature is about 22 degrees celsius - a good time to take a holiday in the sunshine away from the cold, foggy English weather !

This spacious apartment sleeps up to four people in a large double bedroom and settee converting to a double bed in the living area. The main living room has a lounge with comfortable chairs, TV and DVD with dining area. This is divided from the kitchen which has all modern cooking facilities, dishwasher, fridge freezer, microwave etc. A tiled hallway leads to the bathroom with shower, Jacuzzi bath and WC. It is stylishly furnished and extremely comfortable with every convenience. Our apartment has a very large balcony with full sun all day. It overlooks "the quiet pool" and is a wonderful place to relax on sun beds or enjoy a meal or a chilled glass of wine! There is a lift from the poolside to each floor providing easy access very near to the apartment.

The elegant Hollywood Mirage is a RCI Gold Crown resort and lives up to the high standards. All owners become members of the exclusive Hollywood Mirage Club which has an active committee ensuring that the standards are maintained and that apartments and facilities are constantly updated.

There are two excellent swimming pools - the huge main pool also has a children pool and café providing a comprehensive snack menu and bar. Various entertainments are provided around this pool by a dedicated team. The second pool - the "quiet pool" is exactly what is says - away from the larger active pool where pool games and music are banned and one can rest and relax according to preference. This is where the apartment is situated. The Hollywood Mirage complex provides an excellent restaurant with nightly entertainment, a hairdressers and beauty salon and a very well stocked super market. There is a large gymnasium and an excellent children's club on site. There are also several number of laundry facilities near the apartment.

One of the prime facilities is a free coach which runs every hour to and from the resort to the plaza shopping areas and the local markets of Los Christianos, and to the fantastic nearby beaches where one can also enjoy daily boat trips to see the dolphins and whales or take ferries to the nearby island of La Gomera and to the other Canary Islands.

All attractions of the island are easily reached by hire car or local transport. A number of companies run daily sightseeing trips. Mount Tiede situated in the volcanic landscape is a 'must'. This was the main location for the filming of "Planet of the Apes" - amongst other well known films. In the mountain area behind the Hollywood Mirage are many excellent attractions within a 20 minute drive - Las Aguilas Jungle Park being one of our favourites where one can view huge birds of prey flying through the mountain tops.

Restaurants nearby are excellent, plentiful and varied and menu's of all nationalities - a number are within easy walking distance or one can go further afield into the mountains, or to the superb waterside fish restaurants on the coast or enjoy the excitement and fun of the bustling Playa de las Americas.

This location has everything one could want for wonderful holidays. We are sad to be selling but now age and illness have made this necessary. One could not find a more varied and delightful area which suits all ages and tastes.
