The Lakeland Village Resort is a seven acre site set out along the banks of the River Leven as it flows out of the Southern end of Lake Windermere.  The complex of 47 units is a couple of miles West of Newby Bridge and close to the Haverthwaite Steam Railway.  Windermere and Ulverston are the nearest towns of any size and are around 10 miles away.

The Unit is a traditionally styled 1 bedroom cottage with a lawned garden facing out on to the river. It has a well fitted kitchen with full cooking facilities, dishwasher, fridge/freezer plus a washer/drier. Good quality wall units give ample storage.  Crockery and cutlery are provided plus most other things a guest might require - umbrellas for example!

The lounge/dining area has sliding doors that open out on to a flagged patio area complete with furniture and the lawn.  Upstairs the large, airy bedroom has windows on two sides offering long distance views.  The beds can be made up as twin beds or one queen sized bed.  Downstairs a full sized double bed folds into a discreet wall unit when not in use.  All towels and bed linen are provided. There is a single toilet and washbasin downstairs to complement the high quality full sized bathroom upstairs.

The Unit has a single allocated car parking space immediately outside and there is ample guest parking space available on site.

The Whitewater Hotel with its bar and restaurant forms part of the complex along with The Cascades Health and Leisure Centre.  The Centre's facilities are on two floors and include an indoor swimming pool, gym and sauna.  Guests automatically become members for the duration of their stay and have full use of the facilities.  Within a few hundred yards of the complex, though not part of it, is the recently established Lakeland Motor Museum.

The Peninsula area of the Lake District offers good, if often underrated, walking in its own right but the higher peaks are within easy distance of The Village.

The week for sale at this unit is Week 52 which is fixed to commence on December 30th and includes the New Year holiday. Experience tells us that this is a desirable week for exchange purposes and we have exchanged with other 5 star properties in America and Europe.
