Le Bristol, affiliated with RCI, is a wonderful chalet type edifice in Isola 2000 in the southern Alps in France, adjacent to the boarder with Italy (accessible by ski lifts, literally). Situated within an arms reach of the national park/wildlife reserve, Parc Mercantour, the location abounds with majestic natural sights for one to enjoy. At the same time, however, the resort is located just an hour and a half long drive (90 km) northward from Nice and the International airport on the French Riviera. There is also a direct bus service from the airport to the resort and the bus stops directly across the road from the apartments. The resort also has a car park.

There is an onsite swimming pool (there is an even bigger indoor swimming pool in Isola, 15 km from the resort) and a sauna, a shopping mall with various shops and several restaurants are within walking distance, as well as ski lifts taking you to 120 kilometres of ski slopes. At an altitude of 2000 meters, Isola 2000 offers excellent slopes for beginners and intermediate level skiers, and a couple of challenging pistes for those with more experience.

The timeshare on offer is a fixed week leasehold in April that can co-occur with spring break (still in red season) in a 1 bedroom apartment. Although it technically states that it accommodates 4 people, in reality it has 2 separate sleeping areas: one with a bunk bed, and one bedroom with a double bed. In addition, a double bed settee in the lounge provides sleeping space for two more people, so the apartment actually affords space for 6 people.

The apartment is on the 6th floor and reachable by elevator, which saves one from a lot of hassle. A wide balcony overlooks the whole settlement and the ski slopes, providing a magnificent view at sunrise when the eastern sun illuminates the mountains to the south-west while leaving the settlement in the shade. The apartment has a full bathroom, a partial kitchen with a dishwasher, a lounge with a flat screen TV and a DVD player.

The timeshare is on sale for the sole reason that home is quite a distance away from southern France, so getting there by car almost every year for the past two decades is getting more and more difficult.
