Royal Savoy Resort is a 5 star resort in Funchal, Madeira and is situated on the coast. It is a 10 minute walk to the marina and port of Funchal which is visited by many cruise ships. From the balcony of the apartment, these cruise ships can be seen arriving and leaving Funchal. The timeshare on offer is for week 6 usually early/mid February.

The complex has an outdoor Jacuzzi and two outdoor pools, one of which has a swim-up bar. There are several different seating areas either for relaxing on sun-loungers or sitting at tables to enjoy a drink/meal or simply gaze out to sea. The complex also has an indoor heated pool and health suite. Inside are plenty of lounge areas on the ground, 1st and 2nd floors.

The apartment is an air-conditioned studio on the 2nd floor (there is a lift) and has large picture windows with a door that opens onto its own private balcony. It has a separate bathroom with shower and bath. The lounge/dining area has a small well-equipped kitchenette and a large settee that converts to a double bed there is also a TV/DVD and fridge. The sleeping area is separated by a three-quarter length dividing wall and has a double bed and a couple of large wardrobes. The balcony has a sea view, sun lounger, table and chairs and overlooks the gardens and pool area. The complex offers car parking.

We have spent some wonderful holidays there, both in the complex and around the beautiful very green island.
