There is direct access to the sea from the hotel grounds The picturesque grounds themselves have two outdoor pools set among palm trees and flower beds. There is a children's play-area and paddling pool. Also an indoor swimming pool. An excellent high-class restaurant is situated within the main building and a snack bar sits alongside the pools.

The studio itself is very well appointed, with air conditioning, first class en-suite facilities, a king-size bed and sofa bed providing accommodation for four people, and TV. The kitchen area is fully equipped, including a microwave oven and dishwasher. The maid service to the apartment is excellent. It is located on the fourth floor and is served by four lifts. The studio is available on the third week of June in alternate years.

There are numerous excellent restaurants in the vicinity of the Royal Savoy, and in Funchal town itself.

Funchal town with its medieval buildings, flower gardens and vibrant market, is a leisurely stroll from the complex, and is served by regular excellent bus and taxi services. Sightseeing tours of the island are available from the complex.

The timeshare is reluctantly on sale due to advancing years.
