Cala Pi resort is situated in the Bay of Palma, South of the popular, bustling holiday town of Palma. The airport is around 45 kilometers from Cala Pi, via Llucmajor. The resort itself is set at the end of a long sea inlet and the view is quite spectacular, with a small sheltered beach at its end, shallow enough for children to paddle in, or dig in the sand. There are, of course, 2 swimming pools on site and it's easy to spend time getting a sun tan just lounging around there. There is an excellent restaurant so you can eat in if you wish or try out one of the local cafes which are also good.

Our favourite excursion is the train trip to Soller from Palma, through the Tramuntana Mountain range. The town has some lovely historic buildings and specialist shops. Another popular trip for us is to drive to the coastal villages of Cala Santanyl and Cala Figuera, which both have good sandy beaches - great for picnics- or have a meal at one of the beach cafes. There are also lots of boat trips from Palma which are great fun, and you have superb views of the coast.

The resort provides entertainment most evenings which are popular with families. There is small convenience shop on site, an excellent supermarket and small shopping mall just a short drive away.

Our timeshare is for 2 floating weeks. The unit has a maximum occupancy of 6 people, although we have usually only needed occupancy for 4, using 2 bedrooms. Facilities include kitchen, washing machine,TV. Although the unit allocated varies, we have always had a balcony and a ground-floor or first floor unit with a pleasant view.

We have made a number of exchanges through I I - usually on the Spanish mainland- but Cala Pi is our favourite. Recently our exchanges have been in England -to the Lake District - due to health restrictions on air-travel. For this reason we feel it is time to sell. We feel certain that owning a time-share gives a lot of freedom and pleasure and are sorry we are not able to continue.
