Pestana Village in Funchal is a RCI Gold Crown resort close to all amenities.  The complex is well laid out and set in sub-tropical landscaped gardens which are extremely well kept.  There is a lovely swimming pool and good facilities for children.  There is a good restaurant and a really nice lounge with a bar for relaxing in the evening.

Around the area of Pestana Village there are plenty of bars and restaurants and you can walk down into Funchal itself to eat at restaurants by the harbour.  Funchal is very interesting especially in the old town.

The apartment is ground level and consists of a 1 bedroom which sleeps 4,  there is also a pull out sofa for 2 in the lounge and 1 bathroom and 1 kitchen.  It is well equipped and is well furnished.  There is a balcony/Patio which overlooks the swimming pool.  We stayed there about two years ago and it had been completely redecorated and flat screen TV installed.  There is car parking facilities as well.

The timeshare is a fixed week 37 which commences about around the 15th September and operates Monday to Monday.  With this week you can exchange with RCI at any time of the year with other resorts if you decide to join RCI.  We have owned this timeshare for a number of years and have enjoyed some really good holidays.
