Thinking about staying in this Tenerife apartment brings back memories of sitting on the balcony on warm evenings with a glass of wine, watching the sun setting over the island of La Gomera and seeing the lights come on in Los Cristianos. Hollywood Mirage is 17km from the airport and is situated in a good position on a hillside overlooking Los Cristianos. The air-conditioned apartment is on the 6th (top) floor with lifts to take you and your luggage up there.

This is an RCI Gold Crown resort and this spacious apartment is a Presidential Duplex which sleeps 8. The upper level has a twin bedroom and a double bedroom and a luxury bathroom with twin washbowls, toilet and a sauna/shower. The lower level has a small entrance area with a twin bedroom and a bathroom off it, leading to a full and well equipped kitchen with a dining and sitting area with sofa bed, and through to the balcony - and the view! This looks out over Los Cristianos towards the harbour, the sea and La Gomera. The island of Tenerife enjoys sunshine all year round, and the apartment is week 14 which normally falls at Easter time.

There is plenty to do in the resort which has two swimming pools and a sports centre with a gym, squash, table tennis and a jacuzzi and sauna. There is a restaurant on site, night time entertainment and a children's club, as well as some other excellent restaurants within easy walking distance. The onsite minimarket is well stocked and includes fresh produce and fresh bread rolls in the morning.

The resort offers a free shuttle bus during the day which is the easiest option, but it is not too far to walk down to the beach and restaurants in Los Cristianos (about 2km) and taxis are not very expensive if the walk back uphill is too strenuous. Other attractions within 2km include golf, boating, fishing, waterskiing and windsurfing. The boat trip from the harbour to the island of La Gomera is well worth doing. A car can be hired to explore other parts of Tenerife like the volcanic area around Mt Teide, alternatively there are coach trips to the many attractions scattered throughout the island, as well as whole island tours.
