One of the Spinnaker Resorts, Egret Point is set in glorious gardens within the Shipyard Plantation on lovely Hilton Head Island in South Carolina. The timeshare accommodation here gives a private oasis set amongst Palmetto trees and Carolina pines, and the wide Atlantic beaches are within a short drive.

The timeshare units are one or two stories, contain one or two bedrooms and come equipped with two bicycles per unit. The pretty buildings front the swimming pool and have views from their private decks of either the lagoon or the fairway of the golf course. Each unit features cool, elegant colours, generous living spaces and comfortable furnishings, with the first floor apartments the quietest.

The units are well-designed, with the two bedroomed condos sleeping six and featuring two bathrooms, each with full tub and Jacuzzi, a full kitchen and even a separate laundry room. The bedrooms each have a TV, there’s a flat-screen TV in the lining room and Wi-Fi internet access is provided. A number of three-bedroomed units sleeping eight are also available and all units will have kitchens stocked with necessities and ready for your arrival.

The resort’s community recreation building is well-maintained and features a small gym in addition to arcade games, ping-pong, board games and books. A highlight of the resort for couples or families is the beauty and peace of the complex and its native wildlife, although families with kids might like to note the ‘Don’t Feed the Alligators’ signs around the lagoon!

Egret Point’s staff win praise on Tripadvisor for their friendly, helpful service, and the complex’s schedule of fun activities includes meet-the-neighbours cheese and wine evenings, BBQs and weenie roasts. The nearest beaches are less than two kilometres away, an easy ride past lakes and plantations with the provided bicycles. A great choice of restaurants along with small supermarkets and bars are found at Coligny Plaza, all within easy reach by bike.

The island has several golf courses, a major attraction for fans of the popular game. The 800 acres of resort and residential accommodation comprising Shipyard Plantation lie on the southern point of Hilton Head Island, enclosed in a secure, gated community. Championship golf and tennis, biking and hiking trials, a heath spa and a beach club are a few of the highlights here, and the peaceful, natural, environment draws regular repeat visitors to the resort’s timeshare units.
