The popular resort of Alcudia, in the north of Majorca, has been drawing families and discerning tourists alike for decades, with its quiet disposition, long, sweeping bay and lush spots set amid nature. Set back from the port and the beach in this delightful region is the Garden Lago, a major timeshare complex boasting large apartments and extensive facilities which are more indicative of a classy hotel.

Visitors can spend most of their time at Garden Lago as it is self-contained and features a wonderful, centralised pool area. The resort has approximately 80 2 and 3 bedroomed apartments that are balconied and come with lounge, dining area and with all mod cons. The kitchen is large and fully equipped, including: hob and oven, microwave, kettle, juicer, toaster, fridge-freezer, dishwasher (some apartments) and crockery.

The lounge/dining area, complete with TV (with English language programmes and news) and dining table, is open-plan and charming, with a balcony looking out over the grounds. The units can sleep as many as six occupants, while a lift provides access to the six floors. If you don't fancy cooking or heading out of the complex, the Garden Lago Restaurant offers tasty breakfasts and an à la carte menu. There are lots of shops (including a supermarket), restaurants and bars in this area, while the beach is 20 minutes away on foot.
