Enjoy the bird’s eye view of the south Florida coastline from the high floors of the Wyndham Santa Barbara, which takes in South Ocean Boulevard and Pompano Beach. This fine timeshare resort complex has water behind it, too, in the form of the Intracoastal Waterway, where the resident Serenity Yacht is moored up.

There are 90 rooms in this balconied tower, ranging from studios up to two-bedroom apartments. One-bedroom apartments are also available. These all feature cosy bedrooms, a large lounge/dining area and a fully fitted kitchen. The master bedroom even boasts an open, in room Jacuzzi tub, while flat screen TVs come as standard.

The higher floors of the east-facing rooms at Wyndham Santa Barbara offer the best views of the Atlantic Ocean and draw in plentiful warm, fresh breezes, perfect for sundowners from the private balcony. Below is the white sand of Pompano Beach, itself a quieter, more family-friendly version of those beaches farther south near Fort Lauderdale.

Onsite is a sizeable swimming pool, with a large terrace area complete with sun loungers and umbrellas and flanked by palm trees. The pool is raised up for additional privacy from South Ocean Boulevard. For further activity, Pompano Beach has all types of water sports activities available including waterskiing, jet-skiing and parasailing. The beach area is also loaded up with boutiques, souvenir stores and restaurants and is popular with tourists. Or you could even have a flutter on the horses at the nearby Pompano Park Race Track or at the casino.

Timeshare owners at Wyndham Santa Barbara are also well placed for exploring heady Miami, 30 miles or so off to the south of the Pompano area, and it has some of the best restaurants and nightlife in Florida. In addition, Everglades National Park is also within easy reach, while off to the north is Orlando and its world class theme park, Walt Disney World.
