Koh Samui is one of Thailand’s best-loved tropical getaway islands for its balmy weather, sheer beauty, sandy beaches and azure seas. The Q Signature Samui resort lies on a small hill in the Choeng Mon Peninsula, overlooking lovely Choeng Mon Beach. The accommodations are design in traditional Thai style, and the resort offers apartments and luxury villas.
Timeshares here are divided into spacious apartments set in pavilions and villas set around the grounds, many of which have their own pools. The 96 rooms in the Deluxe Pavilion have private terraces or balconies, ensuite bathrooms with full-size baths and showers, and are furnished in the unique Thai style.
The 13 one-bedroomed pool villas overlook the tropical gardens and free-form outdoor swimming pool and offer a private swimming pool, deck, generously-sized bedroom and living areas and a separate dining area. Polished wood flooring, quaint planked ceilings and traditional Thai furniture complete the picture.
The seven two-bedroomed villas offer a king-sized bed and twin beds, a private pool, terrace and deck and a spacious living room with a separate dining space. The master bedrooms are romantically furnished with four-poster beds and drapes, and the luxurious décor includes teakwood furniture, and all the villas are set in walled gardens, giving total privacy.
All three restaurants on the complex take advantage of the stunning setting, and offer superb ocean and sunset views. The main restaurant serves both Thai and international cuisine at breakfast, lunch and dinner, and gives an elegant yet casual ambience and spectacular ocean views over the Gulf of Thailand.
The outdoor Terrace Restaurant has equally lovely panoramic views, and is perfect for cocktails followed by a romantic meal in the warm night air. The Royal Pool Bar overlooks the resort’s fresh water infinity pool, and the Beach Bar serves delicious, healthy Mediterranean cuisine under the palms.
For a relaxing, rejuvenating, treat The Spa offers therapies such as herbal steam baths, facials, massages, body scrubs and full spa packages. There’s also an internet service and a meeting room. Posts on Tripadvisor praise the Thai staff for their friendliness and service, and the beauty of the setting is a major attraction.
The resort is a distance from the main tourist attractions on Koh Samui, with renting a car the best way to get around. The peace and quiet of Choeng Mon beach is just a ten minute drive from buzzing Chaweng Beach with its lively, noisy nightlife in pubs, clubs and other party hubs. Samui’s glittering temples with their gilded Buddha images and chedis are found in every village, and Fisherman’s Village and the Bophut Elephant Camp are well worth visiting.
