The entrance to the biggest spa complex on the continent stands no more than 200m from Park Hotel Ambrozia – Hajduszoboszlo in one of Hungary's most popular spa retreats. This intimate wellness hotel contains a total of three standard rooms and 24 larger apartments.
Available apartments can comfortably hold between two to four people at once. The oversized family rooms are especially recommended for guests with children. Some timeshares contain kitchenettes, but all include televisions, showers, and free wireless internet access. Half board options are available.
However, the facility's main draw may be its own wide variety of wellness treatments. Guests wishing to pamper themselves in a more intimate atmosphere than the neighbouring Hungarospa Hajdúszoboszló can enjoy massages, saunas, or soaking in the spa tub in the privacy of the property containing their own timeshares.
The wellness department also contains a total of four pools, one of which is especially geared towards children. Eating options include a lounge bar, daily morning buffet breakfasts, and a restaurant where Hungarian and Mediterranean dishes are prepared by an award-winning chef. In summer, meals are served along with live music on the scenic garden terrace. The cocktail and wine lists are also impressive.
At any time of the day, guests can seek tour or ticket assistance from the facility's helpful front desk staff. However, many nearby attractions are just a few steps away along the tranquil Matyas Kiraly pedestrian street.
The first thermal spring was discovered in Hajdúszoboszló in 1925. The first spa opened in this small northeast Hungarian community just two years later after people found out about the unique healing properties of these brown and velvety waters. Many believe the thermal waters of Hajdúszoboszló cure illnesses and help external wounds heal faster.
Today, the Hungarospa Hajdúszoboszló offers over 40 different thermal water treatments. However, even visitors without medical ailments can enjoy soaking in the 13 open air bath pools. The Mediterranean Shore pool is particularly popular because of its sandy beach, palm trees, and pirate ships. The combined length of the Aquapark's nine giant waterslides is over a kilometre long.
These timeshares are ideal for anyone preferring a comfortable and cosy atmosphere over posh and pretentious. The nearest airport lies less than 16kms away in the Hajdú-Bihar county seat of Debrecen.
