Oceanside 99 is a large complex of seven-storey timeshare condo blocks set right on the beach and offering two-bedroom, two-bathroom units aimed at family visits and sleeping up to five persons. A full kitchen, separate dining and living areas, free WiFi access and walkaround balconies with ocean views are provided.

Recently remodelled, the units are clean, attractively furnished and comfortable, and the area is quieter than nearby Daytona Beach. The staff are friendly and helpful, according to visitor reviews, the customer service is excellent, and the complex is set close by grocery stores, restaurants and bars.

For a break from the beach, the health club and sauna are enjoyable, and close by are a drug store, medical facilities, tennis courts, car and bike rental and a golf course. The area around Ormond Beach is great for outdoor activities such as horse riding, fishing, and boating, and many bars offer live entertainment.

Ormond Beach lies north of Daytona Beach within a few kilometres of lovely Tomoka State Park and the Tomoko River. Within the park are manatees, alligators and other indigenous wildlife, a plethora of bird species and the remains of a millennium-old Timucu Indian settlement, now on the US’s National Register of Historic Places.
