The oldest structure in the central Scottish community of Aberfeldy is Moness Country Club. This former Perthshire shooting lodge first built in 1758 has been restored to its former splendour as a relaxing Highland retreat.
Accommodation here comes in the form of deluxe and superior hotel rooms or picturesque self-catering holiday cottages and lodges. Each timeshare is individually decorated and boasts between one to three bedrooms.
Many of the Courtyard Cottages face the Aberfeldy Hills, while forests surround the more private Gate Lodge Cottages. The Walled Garden Cottages, log cabin-style bungalows, are named after their location in the property's original farm walled garden.
A variety of beauty treatments are available at the sumptuous poolside spa. The resort's extensive leisure facilities also include an indoor heated swimming pool, table tennis, squash courts, and a sauna and steam room. Eating options include the poolside Terrace Bar and a more formal restaurant.
Timeshare owners can also stroll, cycle, or ride scooters across the Moness Country Club's scenic grounds. Another popular outdoor activity is a mini putting green with nine holes, but more serious golfers can head towards the Strathtay or Aberfeldy golf clubs. The River Tay, Scotland's longest, runs just north of Aberfeldy. The nearby Dewar's World of Whisky serves up Scotland's signature drink.
