Mayan Palace Vacation Club Mexico

Located just north of the town of Puerto Vallarta is the stunning Mayan Palace Vacation Club, one of several luxury timeshare ownership complexes by the Mayan group. Especially good for families, it has a whopping free form swimming pool set amid manicured, palm tree-clad grounds and beautiful accommodation on the traditional Mexican theme.

One of the major pluses of the Mayan Palace Vacation Club is its location right by the beach and within earshot of the town, as well as being close to the marina and the Mayan Palace Golf Course. Even the airport is just a couple of kilometres away, with easy transfers that bypass the city.

The rooms and suites are spacious, while larger families and groups can extend with adjoining rooms and house up to six people. The decor is chic with nice art, furnishings and a comfy couch, while suites feature a fully-equipped kitchen and living room. The timeshare units run alongside the garden and swimming pools, butting right up to the sand in some cases.

The gardens and swimming pool at the Mayan Palace Vacation Club are the main focus. There are several pools in one area, beautifully laid out in free form configuration, with mature palms dotted about for shade. Loungers and umbrellas are liberally placed around the swimming pool terrace and there is a useful poolside snack bar.

Also onsite is a playground—the Mayan Kids Club—which is supervised to allow time alone for the adults. There are quality eateries with several cuisines on hand around the complex, too, including at the beach. Mayan Palace also boasts a high end health spa with quality fitness centre, while nearby is the Mayan Palace Golf Course and a crocodile farm.

Timeshare owners can sunbathe, swim or enjoy water sports at the beach, or indeed head off on a boat tour from the nearby marina. Party boats frequently go out on day trips, while cruise ships from Europe and the US dock at the port in town. Gustavo Diaz Ordaz International Airport is close by and you can pick up shuttle transport direct to Mayan Palace, avoiding the taxi touts to the city.

There are many restaurants nearby, while in the town and along the promenade is lots of entertainment, Malecón being especially fun. Beaches run all down the coast in front of the town and there’s also some good nightlife in Puerto Vallarta. Be sure to take in the Church of Guadalupe for sightseeing.
