Grand Caymanian Resort Caribbean

Grand Caymanian ResortGrand Cayman, Caribbean

The upscale Grand Caymanian Resort is one of the best options for timeshare ownership anywhere in the Caymans. This swanky apart-hotel on the beautiful North Sound of Grand Cayman is five-star hotel quality with its plush rooms and facilities and is especially good for golfers—the North Sound Golf Course is right on the boundary.

The timeshare apartments at Grand Caymanian Resort are reminiscent of the British colonial style, albeit thoroughly modern and spread across two wings centred about a divine swimming pool. Units boast elegant furnishings in their studio, one bedroom and two bedroom suites down to the last detail.

Think granite surfaces in the fully fitted kitchens and all mod cons in a systematic arrangement where no expense has been spared. All units get a balcony, or a large veranda downstairs, with the apartments and suites featuring extra space. In addition, units are soundproofed, including large, thick doors, while bathrooms come with whirlpool tub and all rooms have a TV.

The focal point of the Grand Caymanian Resort is the large swimming pool and central restaurant/bar area, which is surrounded by large palm trees and open to the sea. The setting is luxurious and relaxed, or you can get active and enjoy a game of tennis with equipment provided courtesy of the house.

Water sports can also be arranged with the resort and there’s a small stretch of lonely beach in front, with the tropical white sand beaches over the other side of the ‘finger’. In addition, there is a babysitting service and children's centre onsite, along with free WiFi, and you can head out from the resort and take in the miles of bicycle trails with ease.

While in its own private surrounds—there are no thumping nightclubs here—Seven Mile Beach and its restaurants and shops are a few minutes by shuttle bus, or 20-30 minutes on foot. The snorkelling and swimming potential off this famous stretch of sand is excellent, and it is lined with some great bars and cafés.

Other attractions in the area include the fun Cayman Turtle Farm, Boatswain’s Beach (north), Stingray City and the lush Queen Elizabeth Botanic Park in the east of the island. You can explore this area via the established Mastic Trail. George Town is the capital and is not far to the south of Grand Caymanian Resort, containing the airport and some good shopping and eating. It’s about 15 minutes by taxi.
