Set in the heart of rural Worcestershire on the River Avon, Evesham Marina is home to Classic Narrow Boats’ timeshare canal boats, offering a unique week’s holiday cruising the traditional waterways of Middle England. Sleeping between two and six persons, the narrow boats are furnished and equipped with all needs including partial kitchens with cooking facilities.
As well as offering cruising to famous Stratford-upon-Avon or to Tewkesbury to the south of Evesham, timeshare boats in the marina are often used as a base to tour the lovely Vale of Evesham and the nearby picturesque Cotswold villages. Once you’re used to the narrow boat style and the possibly smaller beds, it’s a fascinating experience and a journey back in time to when England’s rivers and canals carried goods to the ports and cities.
The ancient market town of Evesham is a delight, and has plenty of supermarkets, grocery stores, restaurants and pubs located within a short drive of the marina. Its heritage spans almost two millennia, and the river runs through the picturesque town centre close by the ruin of Evesham Abbey with its bell tower, fascinating museum and grave of local lord Simon de Montfort who was killed at the Battle of Evesham in 1265.
