Surrounded by the white sand beaches of a hammer-shaped peninsula, this Kenyan timeshare resort offers glorious tropical grounds that are home to the main Aquarius block and three other buildings. Traditionally decorated and furnished in Swahili style, the units on offer range from doubles to interconnected family accommodation.
The units supply every home-from-home comfort including ceiling fans as well as air-conditioning, cool tiled floors, kitchenettes for self-catering and mosquito nets for safe sleeping. Apartments have terraces overlooking the gardens or the beach, and are clean, bright and spacious, and reviews compliment the rooms and the helpful, friendly staff.
The resort boasts a large outdoor swimming pool, with pool terraces and shady areas, and the in-house restaurant serves mainly Italian cuisine with the exception of its ‘Africa nights’ when traditional local foods are served. There’s a great deal to do and see in the locality, with deep-sea fishing, two-day safaris to nature reserves, diving and snorkelling and three nearby golf courses the highlights.
Watamu village with its traditional charm is a stroll away, and the nearby tourist town of Malindi was first visited by Vasco da Gama in the late 15th century. The Indian Ocean coastline here forms part of the stunning Watamu and Malindi Marine national parks.
