For us, the beauty of Pestana Promenade is the location of the hotel itself. It is off the beaten path of the tourists, but easily accessible to three Pingo Doce supermarkets. Also, the Continente supermarket is just past the Forum Shopping Centre, which is a ten to fifteen minute walk away. There are numerous high quality restaurants and bars, one of our favourites is Nos Copos, which is famed for its quality food, cocktails and live entertainment.

There is a bus stop outside the Promenade which takes you into Funchal. The Airport bus can also be caught from that stop.

The apartment itself enjoys the morning sunrise and nice balcony with a table, four chairs and two comfortable lounge chairs. From the balcony there is a spectacular view of the ocean.

The apartment features a well-equipped kitchen, including oven, hob and microwave so you can cook a meal, if you prefer. The living room and dining room is spacious, and the dining table will seat four people.

There are two bathrooms, a smaller one with a walk-in shower, sink and toilet. The larger bathroom has a full bathtub, walk-in shower, enclosed toilet and bidet. There is also a his and hers sink in the larger bathroom. Bathrobes are supplied for your use during your stay.

The hotel has a large outdoor pool and an indoor pool in the spa area. During the day, the pool bar is great for lunches or a drink. The Breezes Bar opens for happy hour at 5pm. The hotel currently features two happy hours.

There are various breakfast and dinner options offered by the hotel. We would also occasionally take advantage of the spa for beauty treatments.
