We have been visiting Nassau, since the early 2000's, initially staying at The Atlantis Hotel but then buying at The Harborside Resort which gave us total access to all that the Atlantis Hotel Complex offers but with our own beautifully self-contained apartment with the private facilities only accessible by Harborside residents, particularly the pool with The Point Bar and Restaurant just a few steps away - perfect when you just want to chill a little. There is also an air-conditioned gym next to the pool.

The apartments are perfect for holidays with family and friends, with lock off units to give you a little privacy if you require it but also allow you to open the adjoining spaces for family to gather. I particularly love the washer/dryer facility meaning you do not have to have piles of washing to do when you get home, if you feel like putting a load on before you go out to have fun!

And there is so much fun to be had - all the waterside slides, lazy river rides, pools, activities, aquariums, beach, therapies, casino, and that is without venturing outside the Harborside/Atlantis Resort! Our grandsons particularly loved all of the water features at Atlantis, they thought all their birthdays had come at once as good old England does not have anything like this! Go a little further by taking the water taxi into the town centre to explore the shops, market, Junkanoo Beach, Arawak Cay, Botanical Gardens, Ardastra Zoo & Conservation Center, and so much more. And do remember to tour the rest of Nassau to learn of its history (Fort Fincastle, Montague & Charlotte, The Queens Staircase and Parliament Square to name a few) and see the real Nassau. Plus of course there is the opportunity to meet or swim with Dolphins, this experience is etched in the minds of my then 5- & 7-year-old grandsons - a totally amazing experience!

If you like to eat in there are several supermarkets to purchase all you need as well as shops within the resort (a courtesy bus is provided to one supermarket at set days/times). Or of course you can eat out at one of the many in resort restaurants or venture out a little to any of the many varied restaurants around Paradise Island and Nassau, there is something to suit everyone.

We are sad to be selling but the grandchildren are getting older, and we are finding the transatlantic travel tiring to do too often so it is time to sell and let another younger family enjoy all that this wonderful resort has to offer.
