The lodge is situated within the resort on top of the Craigendarroch hill overlooking the picturesque town of Ballater which is within ten minutes walking distance. Everything you need is within the town of Ballater from bike, ski, and fishing hire. The town also has the famous Ballater golf club which is surrounded by the River Dee. The town also has many dining, food outlets and restaurants.

The nearest airport is Aberdeen some forty miles away with car hire available. The Craigenndarroch resort is a RCI Gold Crown and the facilities include an indoor swimming pool, gym, sauna, steam room, hot tub, tennis, restaurants, and entertainment all cover the needs from a single person at a large family.

The lodge has a fixed week in the month of May (week 20) which sometimes falls within the May bank holiday. The lodge consists of two bedrooms down stairs both with luxury en-suite bathrooms. There is also a drying unit for outside clothing and a washing machine/dryer. Upstairs consists of a lounge (with a wall unit which has a pull down for two) a further luxury en-suite bathroom. A large flat screen TV and Bose entertainment system with seating and table and chairs for six people. The kitchen is also upstairs and is fully equipped with all appliances required from a modern kitchen. From the lounge, you have double sliding doors onto the balcony which overlooks the grounds with views over the Cairngorms National Park. The lodge also has its own two parking spaces for cars. Over all if you are the outdoor type which require luxury accommodation this is for you.
