Based in the Vilamoura area of Portugals Algarve, the Hilton Grand Vacations Club resort is our "home" club. We have a one week(5000 points) Gold membership which provides a lovely 2 bedroom 2 bathroom apartment, which has a large lounge/diner with modern furniture, TV,  music system, internet etc, with superb views over the golf course or the vast swimming pool. The kitchen is really well appointed and has everything you need including washing machine and dish washer. The apartment comfortably sleeps 6 people and they are kept spotlessly clean by the daily maid service. The apartments are linked to the 5 star Hilton Vilamoura As Cascalas Golf Resort and Spa, where members enjoy free access to the Spa, and discounted rates within the hotel restaurants. Getting around in Vilamoura is really easy and the hotel actually runs a free shuttle bus down to the marina, where you will find dozens of bars and restaurants, and to the Hilton private beach where you have use of the sunbeds, towels, beach bar etc....

Other than our times spent at the "home" club you can use the points in any HGVC in the world, and as such we have enjoyed several holidays in Hilton Grand Vacation Club resorts in Orlando (There is an HGCV in the Sea World resort) where the apartments are absolutely huge!!, we have also stayed in the HGVC on the strip in Las Vegas which was extremely impressive. We had planned to use the resort in Hawaii this year but kids off to university now so less inclined to do the long haul trip. In addition to being able to use the points anywhere you can also swap them for RCI points with literally hundreds of holiday resorts around the world. Additionally we have also changed points for Hilton Honours points and stayed in many Hilton Hotels around Europe.

This is a great members ownership which lasts until 2041 so many many years of luxury holiday options. Why are we selling? well because the kids have gone off to university now and they tend to want to do their own thing now.
