Lodge accommodation at Hilton Craigendarroch, Braemar Road, BALLATER, Royal Deeside, AB35 5XA. Scotland, UK. The resort is run by Hilton for Hilton Grand Vacations. If you join the club you have priority bookings for the other HGV resorts. It is Rated Gold Crown and affiliated to RCI. HGV rates the lodge week as platinum. The resort is situated two miles from Balmoral, the Queen's Scottish residence. There is Lochnagar whisky distillery near Balmoral. The village of Ballater is delightful and is 15 minutes' walk from the resort. Ballater has several good restaurants. The Lodge has its own car parking space and has two bedrooms, one single and one twin. The double is ensuite with bath and toilet. There is a drying cabinet, store cupboard with a washing machine inside it on the inner area of the ground floor. There is a good sized porch with hanging space for outdoor clothes. Upstairs, lounge, kitchen and large shower room with sauna. The balcony is a very good size overlooking mature trees and garden. There is a pull down double bed in wall cabinet. Wifi, is available, also high quality television, DVD and hi-fi system. The resort is one hour's drive from Aberdeen airport. The village of Tomintoul is a good place to visit with interesting shops, restaurant and whisky trail. Week 37 is the usually in the second week of September. The weather can be sunny. It is a fixed week. The resort offers swimming pool, restaurant, spa bath, steam room, sauna, gym, health and beauty suite with hairdressing and massage. There is a DVD library available. Out and about nearby there is golf, the Cairngorm National park, fishing on the River Dee, Pony trekking, 4x4 off road driving, mountain biking, canoeing, shopping and many more. We are very sorry to have to sell but Scotland is a long way from where we live. We are getting older and more infirm and can no longer do the drive. We wish the new owners a very happy stay. We love Craigendarroch and the surrounding areas.
