The Miramar is located in the Sao Martinho hotel area of Funchal and is well served by public transport and, if necessary, by reasonably priced taxis. Parking is available at the hotel if a car is hired.

The benign climate of Madeira gives it an all year round 'red' season status, facilitating exchange if this should ever be needed. The airport is served by both scheduled and low-cost airlines. Throughout Madeira the English language is understood and spoken. This, together with the landscape, facilities and many attractions account for the relaxed atmosphere which makes Madeira such a favourite destination. Week 15 is at, or close to Easter and the accompanying floral and other festivities.
