A two bedroom duplex luxury-apartment directly overlooking the sea, situated a short distance to the east of the capital, Funchal in Madeira.

The Promenade is one of Pestana's four star flagship Resorts. The Resort itself is excellently appointed with a large indoor pool as well as a heated outdoor 'infinity ' pool. It is attractively landscaped giving direct access to the three to four mile walkway or promenade leading along the very attractive coastline. The complex boasts two restaurants, a gym, and also a members' club room . It is suited to families as well as couples.

The apartment is situated on two floors. On the lower floor, there is a balcony looking directly out to sea, a comfortable sitting area, dining area and a fully equipped kitchen, including a cooker, microwave and dishwasher. Behind this is a shower room/ cloakroom.

Upstairs, there are two double bedrooms, which have an adjacent private sun bathing area with a jacuzzi plunge pool . Each room has an ensuite bath or shower room. There is a television in each bedroom as well as in the living room. In all, the apartment can accommodate six guests comfortably. The apartment is situated on the sixth floor. From here beautiful sunset views over the sea can be enjoyed.

Pestana takes pride in maintaining a very high standard, both in the quality of the apartments as well as in the overall upkeep of the resort. Service is excellent. Sheets, towels and bathing robes etc are of course provided. The ownership of the apartment is for a further 25 years.

There are numerous restaurants and eating places in the vicinity.
Funchal is a very attractive town - the old town is of particular appeal to many. There is plenty of activity, as well as places of interest to visit. The harbour offers tourists opportunity for boat trips, visiting neighbouring islands to enjoy seal, dolphin and whale watching.

There is a cable car which takes you up to Monte and also the Botanical Gardens. If you are feeling brave, you can toboggan your way back down to town, having visited the Cathedral in Monte. There are two golf courses on Madeira.
The mountains which are set just behind the town, provide many opportunities for walking and climbing. There are also numerous Levada walks , some easy, others more challenging. These are all varied and always interesting , Although the two weeks, on offer are weeks 40 and 41, that is to say, early October, it is possible to change to any time of the year to suit, for a small service charge. It is possible to 'bank' your weeks to accumulate for a longer stay by carrying over weeks from previous years.

Pestana is well respected within the time share and hotel business and has a number of resorts in Madeira, mainland Portugal and Brazil. They have 'partners' in other parts of Europe including the UK to which Pestana 'owners' have access.
