The Pestana Grand is an absolutely beautiful 5 star hotel in the resort of Funchal in Madeira. Absolute luxury. It features large and spacious gardens that overlook the ocean with two main outdoor saltwater swimming pools, one of which is adults only. There is also a small children's pool, plus a bar and dining area.

Inside there is a spa complex with an indoor pool, a jacuzzi, a steam room, a sauna, a gym and a number of treatment rooms. There is also a games room, and a library that features free use of an internet connected PC for timeshare owners. There is one large restaurant plus smaller a la carte restaurants. There is also a bar and nightly entertainment.

Within a few minutes' walk there are a number of great restaurants, cafes, and coffee shops, plus two supermarkets and a shopping centre. There is also a courtesy bus that runs at regular intervals throughout the day to and from the centre of Funchal.

Our apartment sleeps 6. It has two bedrooms, one ensuite bathroom (with overhead shower) and one shower room. It has an entry hall, a lounge with a sofa bed and dining area, a well equipped kitchen and a very large round balcony. It is on the third floor with unspoilt views of the ocean (above the palm trees). You can even hear the dolphins chatting every evening! The balcony can be accessed from patio doors in each of the bedrooms and the lounge. There is also a TV in each of the bedrooms and in the lounge and there is plenty of storage space. It has air conditioning that can be controlled separately from each bedroom and the living area. The apartment is kept in immaculate condition by other cleaners who come every day.

This timeshare is available from 2014. It is for week 30, which normally begins on the last Monday in July.

We are selling because we would like to buy a one bedroom at the Pestana Grand, which will be more suitable for just the two of us.
