The Pestana Grand Ocean Resort is a 5-Star Gold Crown hotel on the Ponta da Cruz Peninsula, a 5 minute drive from the centre of Funchal on the south coast of Madeira, a short distance from Cabo Girao - the second highest cliff in the world. The Grand lives-up to its name with excellent facilities which include a large heated sea-water open-air swimming pool plus an indoor pool.  There are also Spa treatment rooms, well-equipped gymnasium, sauna jacuzzi and Turkish baths.  The beautifully appointed public rooms mainly overlook the ocean and there are a choice of four restaurants to suit all tastes.

This Time Share is for Week 14, which is usually about the first week in April and Easter holidays or the annual Flower Festival sometimes fall within it.  It is a spacious, air-conditioned,     1 bed-roomed apartment on the 4th floor (there is a lift) which overlooks  the ocean and sleeps 4, including 2 on the pull-out sofa in the lounge. It has a well-equipped mini- kitchen, a bathroom and a shower room.  From the large balcony which has 2 sun-loungers, table and chairs, you can enjoy the wonderful sunsets.  We have also used RCI Points to exchange either the resort or the dates.

Between the hotel and the sea there is a wide pedestrian promenade and in the nearby area can be found shopping facilities, cinema, running track and water-skiing  among the many attractions.  The resort offers a laundry/dry cleaning service, car rental facilities and there is car-parking.

We are selling our Time Shares because ill-health makes it difficult to travel now, but we will treasure the memories of many happy holidays spent there.
