The resort is situated in the beautiful Algarve region of Portugal. No matter what time of year you go the weather is beautiful and the resort is lovely. The apartment sleeps 6 comfortably. There are two bathrooms, a lovely open plan kitchen/dining/lounge and balcony. Washing machine, tumble drier, dishwasher, air conditioning. The daily maid service is of very high standard. Lots of lovely clean white towels each day. The apartment overlooks over the golf course or the resort swimming pool. We have enjoyed both locations. A lift gives access to the apartment. The resort is never noisy and there are four restaurants, bars, pool room, four swimming pools, gym and spa. You have complimentary Spa membership. We enjoy going to the spa after a hard day at the beach. You can pay for a range of therapies/massages too. The Hilton breakfast is renowned. Each evening there is a buffet style meal. My husband especially loves this...He eats a lot. The children always find something they like too. You can purchase breakfast/evening meals ahead and get a discount.

It is only a 30 minute drive from Faro airport. There are frequent low cost flights to Faro from all the UK airports. Vilamoura is a very popular town, there are many restaurants and facilities there. There is an excellent shuttle bus that takes you from the resort to the town or the beach and the hotel has its own beach bar, loungers, sun shade and towels supplied (I have always found this so useful with for the children especially). The beach is safe with miles of golden sand and Faro is a lovely town to visit. There are super boat trips from Faro, Vilamoura and Loule that we have all enjoyed. Needless to say the area is very well known for its golf. You can play on the championship courses or alternatives. We have enjoyed going to the Portugal Golf Masters that takes place every October in Vilamoura and have seen some very well known players. My son has a collection of golf balls he had been given by these professional. There are lovely water parks, zoos, marine land and the scenery is beautiful and is so varied within the relatively small size of the Algarve. A drive into the hills you can visit real Algarve. We have always rented a car and the staff park it for you in the cool underground car park and bring it to the front door when you want it, we love this service.

Each year we have gone to Vilamoura in October for one of our weeks. For the other week we own we have gone to HGVC resorts in Breckenridge (twice), Orlando and Tremblant (Canada). We have also exchanged the ownership to Hilton Honours points and enjoyed a week at one of the Hilton family of hotels, you can go anywhere in the world! It is a floating week, meaning you can book any week you want - up to one year in advance. You could even take up a last minute booking if there is availability. At Vilamoura they are not selling any more weeks, so the only way to purchase a week is to buy a re-sale one like this. The ownership was for 25 years (Portugal law). We bought it in 2007. The contract is until August 2041, we see this as an advantage as you will not be leavening your grandchildren a burden for maintenance fees that they do not want. We own an October week, but you can book any week you want with this ownership. You can even book a one bedrooms apartment if you wish. You can also exchange into RCI. We have not done that yet but there are hundreds of lovely good standard resorts all over the world that you could go to. You could even book two apartments at the same time and have a big group holiday and you can move points from one year forward or back. As you can see, the Timeshare ownership has real flexibility.

We own TWO weeks (7000 points per week Platinum).
If you were interested in purchasing both weeks we could come to some suitable negotiated price. Two weeks gives you more options for exchange.

We have had many very happy family holidays there, you might wonder why we wish to sell. This is a very hard decision for us to make, we love the holidays there but our children have now left home and the Timeshare ownership no longer meets our needs as a family. We still hope to go back some day.

We have made a rental reservation for this October, but we may consider renting it to you if you are interested in purchasing our ownership.
