This ground floor property has a sunny south-facing patio overlooking Derwent Lake, Cat Bells and the whole range of mountains leading up to  Dale Head - one of the finest views in the Lake District.  The area is a sanctuary for the endangered British red squirrel and these enchanting creatures are frequently seen around your property.  Tempted by a supply of nuts they will come right onto the patio.

The Underscar properties are based around a 19th Century coachhouse which has been modernised to provide everything you might need.  The property contains a bedroom with a double bed and ensuite bathroom.  A second bathroom has a large shower which doubles as a Steam Room.  Both the bedroom and the comfortable lounge have satellite TV and a “Sonos” sound system with DVD and CD player.  The full kitchen has an amazing range of equipment and a  dishwasher and washing machine are provided.  A settee in the lounge can be used as a put-you-up for a further two people.  The raised dining area looks out through large picture windows to the mountains and lake.

On-site is Oxley’s restaurant and bar together with a leisure complex (free for the use of owners) with heated swimming pool, exercise equipment, spa, sauna, jacuzzi and steam room.


Whether your interests lie in walking, golf or simply admiring the scenery and wild life, Underscar is the ideal luxury centre to explore the Lake District.  What is more, weeks 27 and 28 (which are for sale separately or together) are at the ideal time of year before the school holidays make things busy, and when the weather is at its best with long daylight hours to make the most of your day.  Sitting on your patio with a glass of wine watching the sunset over the mountains is something never to be forgotten.
