Slaley Hall, and the Owner’s Resort is located in the south of Northumberland, close to the border with County Durham. Access to the resort is via the A68 trunk road at junction 58 on The A1(M) to the south and from Jedburgh to the north. The lodge is within an hours travelling time to Newcastle upon Tyne, the Gateshead Metro Centre and Durham City. The market town of Hexham, the village of Corbridge, sites associated with the Roman era and many English/Scottish medieval disputes are also within easy travelling. The National Trust and English Heritage maintain a number of them. The Owners Resort is within the large Slaley Hall Hotel estate laid out to provide two international standard golf courses, the Hunting Course and the Priestman Course, and many marked walking routes, the longest being three and a half miles. The single storey Lodge is 5-star rated, and is suitably furnished with a master on-suite bedroom, a second bedroom, a separate bathroom, a lounge and a combined kitchen/dining room. The ensuite bathroom is fitted with a Jacuzzi/bath and the separate bathroom with a shower unit and the Sauna. The Lodge is located adjacent to the 9th tee of the Hunting Course and is one of a group of three lodges separated by a landscaped area within a quiet location. It is within 10 minutes walking distance of the hotel and it’s leisure facilities. The Lodge has large sliding patio doors in the lounge and dining room giving access to the patio which overlooks the landscaped area. The patio stretches the full length of the Lodge, is partly covered by a roof and is supplied with a picnic table and garden furniture. The master bedroom has a king sized bed, the second bedroom has twin beds, each room providing wardrobe and drawer space. Each bedroom has a small free-view type TV. The lounge contains two sofas, one of which can be converted to a sofa bed. A large free-view type TV, a DVD, free WiFi and various other items of furniture to make the whole room comfortable. The fully fitted kitchen is equipped with a high quality oven and separate hob, microwave oven, dishwasher, toaster, fridge and freezer, and a washing machine/dryer in an adjacent utility room. All the necessary utensils and crockery are located in the numerous kitchen cupboard and drawers. The dining area has a large table and sufficient chairs for the resident and any guests. The Lodge owner has full use a golf buggy and the Slaley Hall Hotel leisure facilities during their week, although there is a charge for some of spa services on offer. The hotel has several restaurants and a clubhouse associated with the golf club. The owner also receives discounts at the bars, restaurants and off golf courses fees. The present owner has exchanged the week a number of times with equivalent five star accomodation in Spanish and North American resorts. The owner also has an additional exchange week and finds with their family grown up and other interests, the Lodge surplus to their needs.
