Situated on the south-east coast of Barbados (approximately 15 minutes’ drive from the airport) The Crane is noted as being the island’s first resort hotel. Whilst the Crane still retains an air of peace & tranquillity a major refurbishment and development programme has transformed the resort into one of the highest rated destinations in the World. The resort is affiliated to RCI and holds their Gold Crown Award. Located adjacent to the world famous Crane Beach (named by Lifestyles of Rich & Famous as being “one of the ten best beaches in the world” and voted “Best Caribbean Beach” 2015 in USA Today's 10 Best Readers' Choice) residents are able to enjoy the powder soft pink sand with views out onto the turquoise water, protected by a natural coral reef, whilst being caressed by the Caribbean sun and cooled by the gentle trade winds. The beach is served by its own bar, which also provides casual beachside dining. Access to the beach from the resort is gained by a glass lift (or steps if you are feeling energetic)! The resort has many amenities; such that it would be possible to remain within the resort throughout the whole stay (although visitors would miss out on so much that this small, friendly island has to offer). The resort has as number of shops, bars and no less than 4 restaurants (including an Italian restaurant, an international/Caribbean restaurant and an award winning Japanese restaurant that boasts an all-glass cliff-top frontage affording wonderful views out onto Crane beach and the sea). A gym and spa are also available and there are numerous swimming pools; with the original pool looking out onto Crane beach supported by the more recent development of a beautifully landscaped multiple pool complex located in front of the apartment I have for sale and bordered by the sea. Car hire is available and can be arranged by the resort, with ample car parking also. As you would expect taxi service is also available and has always been round to be inexpensive, friendly and reliable. The Crane is, by far, one of the most beautiful, relaxing and friendly places in the world and we have visited on many occasions over the past 14 years. Its affiliation to RCI also gives the benefit of a significant points value (140,500 per apartment per week at the time of writing) which has allowed us to stay at some of the most luxurious places in the Europe, USA and the Caribbean. We have 2 fixed weeks for sale (weeks 29 & 30) which tend to cover the end of July/start of August. Apart from RCI points the Crane also provides its own exchange programme (allowing flexibility with regard to the dates you visit) as well as giving access to the Registry Collection (a further collection of luxury properties around the world). With all of this in mind you will no doubt be wondering why we’ve decided to sell. The simple answer is that changing family circumstances and work commitments have made it difficult to make the most of the Crane, making our decision to sell a reluctant but right one. Our apartment is located in block 3, on the first floor (serviced by a lift) and comprises 2 units connected by an internal, lockable door for privacy. Both units are serviced by air conditioning (although this is rarely needed due to the cooling, gentle breeze) and benefit also from a daily maid service. The Ocean View Suite boasts a massive floor space and sleeps 4 people (2 in the main bedroom and 2 in the lounge via a sofa bed). The suite is comprised of: • Additional people can sleep on the sofa bed in the large living room, TV & DVD, and six seated dining room table & chairs• The Master bedroom provides a comfortable, handcrafted king-size four poster bed, TV and DVD entertainment, dressing table and drawer unit. •A private bathroom with built in wardrobe(containing a small safe, Jacuzzi bath, separate toilet room, separate spa shower and double vanity sinks. • Fully equipped kitchen marble worktops, fridge freezer, oven, stove, microwave, dishwasher, top-load washer & drier • A large balcony accessed both via the lounge and the master bedroom with sun loungers, table and 4 chairs table with an ocean view and private plunge-pool The Junior Garden Suite is furnished to the same high standard as the Ocean View Suite and offers the following: • Master bedroom with handcrafted king-size four poster bed, Cable TV and DVD player, with additional seating and table. • The private bathroom has a spacious wardrobe and dressing area, Jacuzzi bath, WC, spa shower and vanity sink. • Mini kitchen with small fridge • Balcony with table and 2 chairs looking onto the garden.
