A spacious 2 bedroom luxury Colquhoun Mansion House apartment within the award winning 5 Star De Vere Carrick Golf & Spa complex on Loch Lomond, Scotland.  The location offers easy access into Glasgow, Stirling, and day trips over to Edinburgh or beyond.  The picturesque lochs, mountains, valleys, and moorlands of the Loch Lomond & Trossachs National Park, Glen Coe, Perthshire, and Clydeside can all be enjoyed without effort and provide innumerable opportunities for all types of outdoor activities.  The resort can be easily reached by road using the motorway networks into Glasgow.  The Glasgow International Airport is only 30 minutes away by car and the nearby railway station at Balloch (4 miles away) provides an alternative transport option.

The Carrick is rated as an Interval International Premier Resort, Visit Scotland 5 star rating, features on Trip Advisor Travellers Choice website, and was awarded the 2013 Europe’s Best Luxury Resort Spa.

The Mansion House is a 3 story building designed along the lines of a traditional Scottish Landowners residence and located in a private secluded area of the Resort adjacent to the par 3, 16th hole of the Golf Course.  This first floor apartment overlooks the 16th green and has uninterrupted views of Loch Lomond and the Ben Lomond mountain range.  The large airy entrance atrium of the house offers lift access to all the 10 apartments which are mobility scooter/wheelchair accessible.  It is tastefully screened by woodland from the Clubhouse and leisure activity building that is at the centre of the golf course.  
All the following are located on site and within easy walking distance of the apartment, a luxury spa with a roof top infinity pool, the Carrick’s Championship Standard golf course with multiple tees to provide challenge for all levels of golfer.  A golf driving range and short game practice area, a well stocked professional shop with PGA qualified staff, a fully equipped and spacious gym, an indoor swimming pool and lounging area with panorama views plus the Claret Jug restaurant & bar providing all day catering.

In keeping with the concept of a landowner’s residence all the rooms in this particular apartment look onto Loch Lomond and their high ceilings help to create a light and spacious environment.  Privacy and warmth is assured through carpeted floors, good soundproofing, and triple glazed window units.  Its key features are:- a large lounge area with a bay window overlooking the 16th hole and luxurious leather furniture that includes a double studio couch for additional overnight accommodation, within the lounge area there is a state of the art blu-ray entertainment facility with Freeview and an I Pod compatible Bose sound system.  A six place dining area with French door access onto a balcony overlooking the 16th hole, a fully fitted luxury kitchen with breakfast bar, oven, hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, washing machine with drier, high quality oven-ware, tableware, cutlery and glassware.  There is a king-size master bedroom with a flat screen TV and en suite containing separate shower, bath, WC, wash basin, bathrobes and hairdryer.  A second twin bedroom with flat screen TV and an en-suite shower, WC, and wash basin, the double door entrance hall and passageway provides access to a storage cupboard and cloakroom with WC and wash basin, radiator heating is available in all rooms, direct dial telephone, free Wi-Fi; and secure ground floor golf equipment storage lockers.  Complementary mid week linen change and maid service (with an option to extend) is provided along with ample adjacent car parking and a wheel chair access ramp.  The close proximity of the loch and golf course to the apartment provides stunning views from the rooms and opportunities to watch the local wildlife from the apartment windows and balcony which, in our experience, include hares, weasels, pheasants and pink foot geese.

Things to do and places to visit include: the	Burrell Collection, Inverary Castle, Balloch Country Park, the historic Village of Luss, cycling, sailing, fishing, cruising on Loch Lomond, the River Clyde, or Loch Katrine in the Trossachs, the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park, the Rennie Mackintosh designed Hill House at Helensburgh, Historic Scotland sites such as Dumbarton Castle, Stirling Castle, the Wallace Monument, and a variety of challenging local golf courses such as Helensburgh, Buchanan Castle and Hilton Park let alone more prestigious courses in Perthshire and Ayrshire.

We are founder owners at the Carrick and watched the golf course and Mansion House being built.  It is with regret that we have had to offer our apartment for sale due to personal circumstances which prevent us from continuing to enjoy the calm and tranquillity derived from visiting this wonderful haven.  

The contract with De Vere Lodge Owners we are offering for sale is a Friday to Friday fixed Week in mid September that is outside the UK school holiday period but well before the close season of all visitor attractions.  

We are very willing to negotiate on the purchase price since the many years we have enjoyed here have already provided a good return on our original investment.  Our greater priority is to move on by selling a very good timeshare property sooner rather than over a longer timescale as a result of trying to maximise the sale price.
