The Monte Carvoeiro Clube is one of the most striking resorts on the Algarve in Portugal. Built and styled in the traditional Portugese manner each unit has been furnished beautifully to reflect local colours and scenery. The apartments at Monte Carvoeiro Clube are situated around a stone flagged courtyard with a fountain – just like the rustic villages you'll see dotted throughout this extraordinary region.
The resort offers a number of excellent bars and restaurants if you feel like staying in for the evening. Close to the resort you can enjoy a number of amenities including excellent golf, tennis, and naturally, the magnificent beaches of the Algarve. The resort has a swimming pool as well as a dedicated and supervised children's pool. The bar at the pool offers drinks, light snacks and breakfasts before you head off for the day.
The units at Monte Carvoeiro Clube are fully outfitted with every modern convenience and all have a private balcony and terrace - spacious, comfortable and cool during the hot summer months on the Algarve.
If there is an experience that you absolutely have to try when on holiday in Portugal, it is eating out at a local restaurant on the Algarve. Famed for their seafood dishes and unique flavours, you'll love the cuisine of this region of the world. Dine on prawns, crab and delicately prepared chicken dishes – the Portugese love to prepare rich dishes, fragrant with the fresh herbs and spices that have been introduced to the country over the centuries. A particular delicacy is 'Ameijoas na Cataplana' a rich seafood dish of clams, spicy sausage, spices and wine. Not unlike the Spanish ‘Paella', this dish has a unique flavor all of its own. Served in a copper bowl, called a Cataplana, the dish is perfect for an al fresco meal under the stars watching the waves of the Atlantic curl onto the shore.
