January is over and it seems like the end of all the crazy sales. Hopefully most of you took advantage of the great discounts and deals with many holidays also offered at reduced prices during this time of year. However, with prices now returning to normal levels many of you may feel like you missed the boat on bagging a bargain holiday. Fear not, you can still enjoy great savings with timeshare.
We’ve recently registered three peak summer weeks in some of the UK’s most highly sought after resorts and decided to tell you about them first before they are snapped up. To illustrate the incredible value of owning these high demand weeks we decided to compare them with the cost of “renting” similar accommodation at the same time of year*. The annual savings you make with a timeshare holiday more than make up for the premium price tags attached to these peak season weeks.
So, let’s look at what great value can be had with a timeshare summer holiday:
Slaley Hall, Northumberland, UK
Firstly, lets look at Slaley Hall in Northumberland which is situated around 30 minutes West of Newcastle and was recently acquired by Q Hotels from De Vere. Interval International regard Slaley Hall as a Premier Resort and is set within 1000-acres of forest and moorland, perfect for those looking for a countryside escape each summer.
The annual management fees for a 4-bedroom lodge at Slaley Hall are approximately £940 which may seem expensive but when based on 8 people sharing it would equate to just under £17 per person per night. This means that for only £119 each you can enjoy the entire week at Slaley Hall, incredible value for a summer holiday in the peak season at this top-class resort!
When we tried to compare this with the cost of “renting” a corresponding week at Slaley Hall on a popular hotel comparison site we found that it was in fact sold out during Week 30 (July 24th–31st). So, we found similar standard accommodation and holiday dates and discovered that the price for renting a week to be over £3,000! This means an annual saving of around £2,000 would be made each year by taking a timeshare holiday at Slaley Hall compared to “renting” the same week.
Coming onto our books recently is this 4-bedroom lodge which is available in Week 30 for £12,500 and is ideal for summer holidays exploring the Northumberland countryside. This well-equipped lodge enjoys a full-kitchen and stylishly furnished living and dining rooms whilst sweeping views can be admired from the private balcony. Owners are truly spoiled with a private sauna and jacuzzi bath fitted for ultimate relaxation at this highly sought after lodge.
Cameron House, Loch Lomond, Scotland
Heading North of the border we come to the famous banks of Loch Lomond in the Trossachs National Park where you’ll find Cameron House another Interval International Premier Resort. Also acquired by Q Hotels from De Vere this resort is located around 40-minutes North of Glasgow city centre and offers an abundance of spa, golf and rural treats to all of its visitors.
Maintenance fees for the 3-bedroom lodges at Cameron House are approximately £850 which works out at just over £15 per person per night based on maximum occupancy of 8 people sharing. This means that the weekly cost per person is approximately £100 making this a great value holiday for anyone looking to explore the Scottish Highlands in elegant surroundings.
Proving just how popular Cameron House is we found it to be sold out during Week 32 (August 7th-14th) when looking for comparable accommodation to the timeshare lodge. We did, however, find a 7-night stay at a similar resort during these dates only to find the price to be around £4,000! So, with savings of around £3,000 and a guarantee of availability each year a timeshare holiday at Cameron House is a great way to spend a week each summer.
Recently registered with us is this luxuriously well-appointed 3-Bedroom lodge in Week 32 for £14,500 which makes for the perfect base to explore the Trossachs National Park. Spread over two floors this exquisite lodge provides plenty of space for up to 8 people and features an en-suite bathroom in the large bedroom and private sauna as well as furnished balcony. Settle down to a home-cooked meal from the full-kitchen and take in the stunning views of the 9-hole Wee Demon golf-course from the comfort of your stylish living/dining room.
Hilton Craigendarroch Country Estate, Aberdeenshire, Scotland
Staying in Scotland we find ourselves in the Cairngorms National Park around 1 hour West from Aberdeen at the RCI Gold Crown Hilton Craigendarroch Country Estate. Sharing the banks of the River Dee with the royalty of Balmoral Castle this resort creates a truly breath-taking rural retreat to the Scottish Highlands.
Annual management fees for the luxury 3-bedroom lodges at the Hilton Craigendarroch are approximately £800 which may sound expensive, however as these lodges can sleep up to 8 people this equates to a little over £14 per person per night. Taking this into consideration it would equate to approximately £100 per person per week to take a peak summer holiday here, for the quality you will receive this is superb value!
Now, compare this with the cost of “renting” a similar style accommodation at the Hilton Craigendarroch. During July you can expect to pay around £2,700, over 3 times as much as the equivalent in timeshare. These generous savings just go to show that even when a premium price tag is placed on a week you are still getting great value for money compared to the cost of “renting” the same product.
Take advantage of the limited availability of this 3-bedroom lodge in Week 34 (August 21st – 28th) for just £7,250 and discover all the Cairngorms National Park has to offer you. Located in a peaceful spot overlooking the adorable duck pond this spacious lodge presents a wonderfully relaxing location to holiday within. Fitted with a full-kitchen and spacious lounge area owners are also treated to their own private sauna and furnished balcony to take in the natural surroundings.
